Innovate For Refugees Training

For 3 days from the 13th Oct to 15 Oct 2017, in partnership with MIT Enterprise Forum Pan-Arab region and Zain Innovation Campus where the workshops were held, we had the pleasure to be invited by MIT to give a 3 days workshop about how to come up with innovative solutions for the challenges and problems that refugees faces everyday, making sure these solution are scalable, can be replicated in other refugees camps around the world and have a sustainable business model.

The first day of the training was about the difference between social entrepreneurship, non profit projects and entrepreneurship and building teams to work on one of the challenges.

On the second day, the teams got introduced to the design thinking method to come up with ideas and validating them by showing their first MVP to one of the target refugees segments …

On the final day, the different teams members learned how to tell the story of their idea, how it is solving the problem, and how they are going to make money to sustain the projects, Business Model.

Later on the 3rd day, each team pitched their ideas to the judges.
